Charming design elements create a unique atmosphere.
The overall cleanliness was disappointing. I noticed dust on the bedside table and dirty rugs, which really detracted from my stay. Communication was poor as I never saw the hosts, and check-in was confusing, handled by someone from the adjacent hotel. Lastly, the breakfast options were severely lacking. It felt more like a grab-and-go situation with few choices available.

Excellent base for exploring Oban. Absolutely great and lovely hotel in a fantastic area, next to restaurants and a coffee shop. Easy check-in and simple check-out, accommodating staff. Excellent and perfect location as only 5 minutes to a Colosseum-like Victorian folly. A lot of food options approx 10-15 minutes' walk from the venue👍👌

The beds were cheap, and the breakfast was just a sad selection of wrapped pastries, no fresh fruit at all! Really expected a complimentary gesture for the inconvenience, but zero. Almost thought of giving a good review, but just couldn't let it slide, honestly.

pleasant stay with charming touches
The check-in experience was seamless, and the warmth of Dorothy made a good first impression. The bed was comfortable, topped with good pillows, nice for an excellent night's sleep. I appreciated the lovely charm of the breakfast room, where the continental breakfast provided a perfect start to my day while enjoying the good city views.
The building's age shows its character but could benefit from some updates.
